I've been following a whole new american comedy series "Modern Family" , i highly recommend it. It's really funny.

I started out this week with Navigation Exercise(Navex), woke up as early as 530 and begin the preparation for it. When we had the briefing the night before, most of us started to discuss our strategies and how we should go about with the "mission". There were 4 check points, two of which was Logistic points(place for us to fill-up water bottles etc..). It wasn't that tough as the check points were quite easy to find and our group worked well together. I will never forget how we had to hide under a canopy and consume our lunch there as it was a CAT-1 situation. It lasted for nearly 2 hours and we were soaked in our sweat and the water from the heavy rain. It was just like one of the field camp days. We came in 6th but we were proud of it, our group was probably the only unlucky one that had to spend two hours in the middle of nowhere and consume our lunch there. 

The rest of the week was all about stores cleaning and tank maintenance, we woke up early in the morning and did all that till the end of the day. It continued for about 2-3 days, I thank God for His grace and strength. I have an off tomorrow hence i'm now at home. Feels good to take a break from such an arduous week. 

Sometimes people use sorry too often, sorry for this sorry for that. Just the other day, someone said sorry just because he wanted me to move aside for him to make his way up the stairs. !?. It's just really amusing sometimes to see how many times someone can say sorry in just one sentence.

On the other hand, there are petty people out there that are just waiting for you to say sorry. How many times have you accidentally brushed someone's shoulder(without saying sorry) and that dude glared at you as though you were trying to pick a fight? It's ridiculous how petty people can get. 

I'm still feeling the pain, the invisible yet so enduring strain hovering on my shoulder area. 

My cousin turned 21! and i got to eat an awesome meal at the global kitchen@Pan Pacific hotel, it was "Globalicious" especially the roasted duck, salmon fillet and pastas. I'd give it an 6/10 on the whole. It has quite a limited desert choice and the cuisine had 60-70% of chinese cuisine and the rest was split among; Mediterranean, Japanese, Western and Muslim cuisines. The place was well decorated and had ample space for people to walk around(really important for a buffet restaurant).

Basically, i focused on eating their best stuffs and had a great time ; )

Just reached home from a grueling day of advanced demolition live firing, and it took the entire day! There was a heavy rain early in the morning, resulting in ammo tonner stuck on expressway and lead to waiting for 4 hours before anything could begin! What a waste of time.
 
i dislocated my shoulder again. twice in less than 6 months! not a good sign. What's worse was this time round the medical officer in my camp DIDNT know how to fix it back! I had to endure 3 hours before i could receive treatment. How VERY efficient. Rumours has it that next week will be HELL, tons of "extra" work and outfield etc.

I've got to enjoy this weekend! Coincidentally, my cousin is celebrating her birthday tomorrow at pan pacific's global kitchen. I'm ready for a GREAT meal =)

I have plenty of dreams, from nightmares to really ridiculous dream.I could have sworn i dreamt that my teacher was a tyrannosaurs rex with huge spectacles and used his/her(i'm not sure, I was dreaming!) claw as a point marker. Hah, i bet thats one class you won't want to sleep in. 

I used to love dreaming. But now i know, it's time to stop wallowing in the invincibility i possess in my dreams and wake up. 

Tomorrow's the last day of the week! But wait, I still have monday : ) 

The day went well, started off hanging out at ION orchard. Love that place, most of the shops you usually patronize at town can be found there! Then it striked, rama suddenly remembered that there might be a possibility of a turn-out! Which means there's a chance that i'll have to book in upon receiving the oh-so-dreadful call from the COS! DAMN. Please don't let such things ruin my wonderful weekend! Plus saturday is PAY DAY. Let me hear those cheers! 

I'm having a 5 days weekend+offs! I'm happy. 

Haven't you had times where you just hope that you Stop, Pause and Think before you reacted? 

Alright, the 4 days weekend is coming to an end! how sad is that. VERY. tsk, but i know there's more to come! God is great, He's been protecting me and blessing me since my enlistment! Praise the Lord i'm passing out soon! i'm finally going to get a rank Lance Corporal ( LCP) at least now i have something to velcro on to my uniform! feels quite good to be a near 6 months soldier (Obviously because i'm  6 months closing to ORD) serving the nation. To yah all SAD army personals that are booking in on monday, SEE YOU THERE. I know we're all so NOT happy because it's time to book in again. but i'm sure we'll NOT enjoy the outfields that'll be coming up real soon. Buckle up, get ready for a NOT exciting week ahead! Look forward to weekend yah! it'll BE fun

The longest weekend break i had since i enlisted! Tsk, but i know there's more to come. Praise the Lord! But this week has been tiring, had ATP for two straight days. Though i didn't get Marksmen but i'm glad i could pass and not have to burn another weekend!I'll be getting my marksmen the next time i do ATP! 

Went on a little joy ride yesterday on Alvin's car, the group chilled out alll the way till 3-4am before going back home. Met with a little car accident in the afternoon(which spoilt part of the plan) , but cheers! the rest of the plans weren't cancelled. The time frame from the start of the accident to the start of the official trip is roughly 3-4 hours. Yes, it was that long. Thank God no one was seriously injured.

Just today, i went for my cousin's birthday @ carousel for lunch buffet. It was great! the food tasted really good, It's almost an international buffet lest the mediterranean cuisine. And of course, i'd have to book in later around 8. 

Whenever a coin's flipped, there can only be one side that will be faced up. Heads or Tails. Similarly, when decisions are made and choices are chosen, it just means that you've to be willing to give up something else. This past few weeks i've been jumping here and there, uprooting the decisions i made, alternating between my choices. What did i end up with? neither the head nor the tail, the once in a blue moon coin-standing-upright with no faces at all. 

This has to be temporary! i've got to retract my "chicken wings" and start to take actual steps to my goal, my vision and my future.

Be a man, do the right things. 

Ah, the famous flu bug caught on to my immune system again.

Going to sleep soon, thanks to the flu bug, i'll be sleeping on my comfortable bed instead of that dreaded bed of mine in that dust-filled place! After 8, there will be this one person that will probably call my house every 1 hour just to check on my "status". I wonder if that's going to be irritating, heard rumours that calls will be made hourly. 

Never felt so happy to fall sick, and that's quite messed up. 

BURNED AGAIN. Confined because of AOH!!! damn it. And the worst thing is butt party's full time shift! while the rest of them gets to do half day shifts. It's really unfair and i'm damn unhappy. I've been holding it in in in in in. damn. I need to let it out!!!! the anger, frustration, misery, unhappiness EVERYTHING!   even pay day on 10 sep can't cheer me up! 

Otherwise known as the 'sai kang' commandos. Wake up as early as 4 am, already in our long fours ready to start our duties as the BUTT party. 

We had to load up the stores necessary for our duties, which is to fill up oil barrels, replace them, dig holes on the ground, change target boards and sweat like hell! We start work around 7-8am, break is around 12, start again around 2-3 all the way till 6-7pm. All we do is that after the tanks fires at the target boards/oil barrels we'll have to dispose the debris and replace the oil barrels with new ones.We'll have to also fill the new barrels with a certain ratio of petrol and kerosine just so it'll explode when the tanks fire at it. We practically smell like petrol/kerosine the entire day! the worse thing is that we'll have to do it either 3 days straight or 5 days straight. Thank God there's just 8 more days of this kind of duties.  

This really made me realised how people that worked behind the scenes felt.

To those who are going to the AOH this year, when you hop on to the live firing safari rides and enjoy the great view of oil barrels exploding upon tank fire, note that they are actually people who have to clear up that mess and set it all up again for the next ride in less than an hour! And they are known as the BUTT party. 

I've to do that again on wednesday!!!@#$%^%#@#$% do pray for me. 

 TOO DAMN TIRED. Two straight days of AOH rehearsal. Shitty weather followed by shitty work just makes everything FULL OF SHIT. Seriously.
Soon i'll post the chronicles of the legendary BUTT PARTY, but for now, I'm just TOO DAMN TIRED. still have 8 days of this shit! 3 days rehearsal, 5 days of the actual thing!

Trust me when i say SHITTY WORK!

It's the mid of august already and it marks the nearing of the end of 2009. It may seem too soon for me to say this, but 2009 was great! And i'm sure 2010 will be better. Lets just see how the next 3-4 months turns out to be. Will i be able to achieve my goals by then? we'll see. 

sometimes i just feel that way. 

Been breathing in gedong's air for way too long! This week felt exceptionally long, it's a week of breakthrough(spritually) and i feel great. God's been speaking to me this week and i hope it doesn't stop! 

Booked out this evening after a visit to SDC(again!?, went there during BMT). but  i must say, we had a decent tour guide this time! 

Going to have a REAL long weekend here! all thanks to sg's birthday!! Happy Birthday Sg. Monday's off cause of you! :D

Everytime we go through one time phase, we have to sacrifice something. It seems so true! I'm getting more and more free as the weekends passes by, and thats scary! i can't imagine spending my precious weekend stoning at home. 
It's times like this that i think i might have messed up my life, or is it that everyone else has gone through another time phase and i'm still stuck behind.
